| Russell and Brashear Announce the Formation of Hospitality Artists, LLC HOLLYWOOD, CA (February 4, 2002) - International lodging industry veterans John Russell and Toma G. Brashear announce the launch of Hospitality Artists, LLC, a results-based solutions firm designed to assist companies in solving problems and optimizing opportunities in the hospitality, travel and tourism industries. Services provided by the company encompass the areas of brand positioning and development, corporate identity development, customer relationship management, design, diversity, feasibility, finance, franchising, marketing, meeting and conference planning, public relations, product introductions, project development, property management, brokerage and construction, public speaking engagements, purchasing, recruitment, research, sales and training. John Russell, CEO of Hospitality Artists, LLC, has held several senior level management positions with national and international lodging companies during his 25 years in the industry. He served as president of Days Inns, vice chairman of Cendant's Travel Division, president/CEO of Resort Condominium International LLC, Global Operations, chairman and chief executive officer of Cendant's Hotel Division, executive vice president of franchise sales for Century 21. Prior to that time, Russell served as vice president of Benchmark Management Company, president and CEO of Colony Hotels and Resorts, executive vice president for resorts for Radisson Hotels International and worked with the Sheraton Corporation in various senior marketing positions. Russell is the immediate past chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), served two terms as president of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and sits on the boards of several hospitality-related organizations. In addition, he has received multiple awards acknowledging his dedication to the lodging industry. Russell is a 1969 West Point graduate. Over the course of his 25-year career, Hospitality Artists Chairman Toma G. Brashear has contributed to the growth and development of several national and international hotel interests. Most recently, he served a six-year tenure as president and partner of Traveler Discount Guide and Roomsaver.com. Prior to that time, he served as president, Days Inn of Mexico, senior vice president, franchise and development for Colony Hotels and Resorts (then a division of Carlson Companies) and senior vice president, marketing and franchise services for Days Inn of America. Mr. Brashear is chairman of the American Hotel and Lodging Association's Hotelpac and is a member of the organization's Allied Executive Committee Board.
